Mendham and Withersdale: Two villages, one parish bringing the community closer together
The annual “Carol Singing Around The Villages 2018” event, organised by the Community Council was held on Monday, 10th December. On a very cold but beautifully clear evening, some twenty hardy souls gathered in Withersdale Street to sing carols and collect money for EACH (the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices). Having sung their hearts out at a number of houses, the singers moved on to Mendham with a few stops on the way. There was more singing and more collecting before the rather cold but joyful group were rewarded with hot mince pies and mulled wine at Melrose thanks to the generosity of Kathy and Val. Having warmed up, there was yet more singing but this time, indoors, in the warm around the piano. Why not join us next year!! Happy Christmas to all from the Community Council.
